Summary of the Job:

Reporting to the VP of Partnerships Development & Growth, the Business Development Director will play a key role in helping CareerBuilder achieve its revenue growth goals. As a seasoned recruitment technology industry professional, you understand the value of partnerships and connected product ecosystems. Your outgoing personality, strong work ethic, and knack for deal-making will serve you well on your quest to build out CareerBuilder’s partner program.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop CareerBuilder’s new referral, reseller, and integration partner programs. This will include establishing the partner program benefits, structuring partner agreements, and outlining the execution plan to maximize revenue growth.
  • Identify and secure new strategic partnerships that support the company’s overall revenue plan and KPI’s.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new partnerships from conception to go live.
  • Evaluate and assess inbound partnership inquiries for revenue potential and competitive advantage
  • Monitor the industry and competitive landscape, gathering insights to help inform CareerBuilder product and corporate strategy.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the HR/Recruiting Technology industry, the integrations that are possible between partner systems, and the value those can bring to customers and end-users.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess markets and evaluate the attractiveness of new technologies and business models – both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Strong negotiation skills while maintaining a mindset of “win-win”.
  • Technical sales background a plus
  • Comfortable with performing a wide range of responsibilities, from thinking broadly to executing detailed tasks.
  • Ability to take a broad goal and make it actionable for self and team; “self-starter”
  • Professional and approachable style; able to work with various functions and levels in an organization; high degree of personal integrity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - both phone and email

Education:

Bachelors Degree

Minimum Years of Experience:

8+ years experience within the HR /Recruiting technology industry with at least one year in a partnership related role

 

Physical Demands:

    • Frequent phone and computer use
    • Creating written communications
    • Able to sit/stand at a desk
    • Able to bend, sit, stand, lift boxes or equipment (between 0-15 lbs)
    • Able to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally
