Summary of the Job:

CareerBuilder is looking for a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) who has previous experience building, transforming and managing successful sales and customer success organizations.  The role calls for working in a dynamic market at a critical time in the HR tech, human capital, and talent space:  job seekers are on the move; employers face new talent challenges.    Working in media, and in the marketplace between job seekers and employers, provides a unique opportunity to lead a high-growth business.  The CRO reports to the CEO and leads our client-facing teams and the execution of the revenue and sales plans. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead a several hundred person team to drive CareerBuilder’s growth and the execution of its revenue strategy.
  • Develop sales campaigns to successfully execute to revenue, budget, and P&L plan.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with C-level executives of key target clients and channel partners.
  • Guide career development for the sales leaders and sales and success team members including leading in a high growth culture.
  • Drive rigorous sales development execution and oversight, and KPI management including forecasting, revenue projections and pipeline management.
  • Continually improve sales process that enables growth strategies and other desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when applicable.
  • Drive planning, territory definition, quota and compensation construct.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, R&D, marketing and other internal partners to best enable profitable growth and execution plans for new geographies, products and market segments.
  • Leverage data to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue.
  • Monitor the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement to success.
  • Build and conduct executive presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors.
  • Implement effective customer retention strategies and help develop thriving customer base.
  • Represent CareerBuilder at industry conferences.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of CareerBuilder's product offerings and drive adoption of knowledge and strategy execution to the sales and success teams.
  • Design and develop sales materials, necessary for selling into the industry.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to inspire others and lead change
  • Successful track record in working across sales, marketing, client services, and product teams.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through the optimization of existing and creation of new sales channels, marketing, branding, and partnerships.
  • Strong marketplace, media, B2B SaaS Enterprise sales growth and client retention experience.
  • Proven experience developing and executing business strategy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skills.
  • Robust Salesforce analysis, reporting, and forecasting skillset.
  • Experience negotiating 7 figure enterprise contracts.
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities unlocking multiple product opportunities.
  • Successful experience managing a large team of employees including sales representatives, customer success managers, and leadership professionals.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Years of Experience:

10+ years in diversified leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth.

CareerBuilder employees are currently remote. We do have offices based in Chicago and Atlanta. When it is safe to return to the office, you will have the ability to continue to be remote or utilize the Chicago or Atlanta offices as determined by your manager.
