Job Description

The Copy Writer will bring CareerBuilder's brand voice to life through marketing materials. Their work will support both B2B & B2C audiences through brand awareness campaigns, lead gen and sales enablement materials.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the “voice of CareerBuilder” through B2C campaigns by creating compelling copy for emails, paid and organic social posts, banner ads, radio and podcast ads and other mediums. 
  • Ability to seamlessly switch from talking tech to translating tech is a must. 
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously within established timeframes. 
  • Help to create differentiated value messaging for CareerBuilder B2B products and pull through proof points to use in campaigns & enablement. 
  • Work as part of the Creative Team to ensure all materials are on brand and the CareerBuilder voice is consistent across all applications. 
  • Create messaging for and maintain B2B product marketing materials for multiple CareerBuilder products including data sheets, web page copy/content and sales enablement materials. 
  • On occasion: develop longform content to support B2B digital marketing lead gen campaigns, including PPT decks, blogs and webinars.
  • On occasion, write articles for both B2C and B2B resource centers and adhere to and help inform an editorial calendar. 

 

Job Requirements:

Requirements 

  • 2-5 years of content writing, or similar experience required; ad agency experience preferred. 
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must approach daily challenges with a positive outlook and be approachable to others both internally and externally to the organization. 
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities with ease and composure, while continuing to meet established deadlines. 
  • Ability to coordinate and effectively prioritize multiple tasks. 
  • Ability to script write is a must. 

 

 

 

Tech skills

  • Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with Workfront or other project management platforms, Uberflip or other CMS systems a plus.
  • Knowledge of AP Style and ability to follow internal style and brand voice guidelines is a must.
  • Knowledge of and experience with SEO and Google Analytics a plus.
