Summary of the Job:

The Data team in CareerBuilder enables the fundamental capabilities required for CareerBuilder’s Talent Discovery Platform which supports 140M+ profiles powered by AI/ML capabilities. The Data Warehouse (DW) team which is part of the Data team provides Data and Information as a Service to various Internal teams in CareerBuilder such as Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance and Customer Success Teams. These Services offered by the DW team encompass dimensional modeling, data loading through ETL Jobs, building KPIs and creating mission critical reports based on the specific requirements of the individual teams.

The Data Warehouse currently processes 40 Tb of data, with an Architecture that includes Big Data Technologies (HDFS, EMR Clusters), Analytical Databases (AWS Redshift), Object Storage Systems (AWS S3), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SSIS and SSRS, Tableau and BigQuery. The Reporting layer provides Business Intelligence to our consumers through cutting edge web based as well as mobile native visualizations.

The Data Warehouse team is looking for a highly skilled Data Warehouse developer to create and support the services provided by the Data Warehouse team. You will bring your experience in dimensional modelling, ETL processing that is reliable and scalable for massive datasets, applying your knowledge of Cloud Technologies and Distributed systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop reliable and efficient ETL and data warehousing solutions that can scale to massive datasets and large clusters of machines.
• Design and implement Data loading processes necessary to support new services in the Data Warehouse platform.
• Design new dimensions and facts to support data models for analysis.
• Come up to speed with existing models, suggest enhancements and get them to fruition.
• Analyze data structures in existing legacy systems in order to design, extract, transform and load processes and data warehouse data structures
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of data collection, extraction, and storage processes.
• Formulate and maintain detailed documentation for data dictionaries & formulas.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience as a DW developer with hands on experience and mastery in Dimensional modelling.
• Experience in one or more Big Data technologies (Distributed Computing platforms such as Hadoop and Spark, NoSQL databases, Distributed Real-time Systems, Big Query)
• Experience in one or more cloud technologies AWS-EMR, AWS-S3 and Apache Hive
• Mastery in writing complex SQL queries
• Mastery in Data processing using ETL tools (for example SSIS)
• Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. SSRS, Tableau or other relevant reporting tools)
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
• Proven abilities to take initiative and provide innovative solutions.
• Good written and verbal skills and an effective communicator. Be a team player with strong empathy for our internal as well as external customers.
• Self-learner with a bent of mind to quickly pick up and learn new technologies.
• Strong presentation skills.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in SSIS
• Experience in Object Oriented software development.

Relevant Graduation or Post Graduation Degree.

Minimum Years of Experience:

5-7 Years of relevant experience.
