Summary of the Job:

The Director, Programmatic Yield Management

– CareerBuilder Marketplace – is a new role and will be a vital component for CareerBuilder’s Marketplace business in the US, which enables companies to successfully find qualified candidates within the desired ROI at scale. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to oversee and ensure the overall health of the marketplace business, including as relevant: management, planning, execution, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of digital job recruitment campaigns, as well as monitor and ensure client and partner performance while meeting internal revenue goals.


Essential Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will require excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think strategically while being analytical and detail-oriented. Ideal candidates should have a working understanding of the hiring & recruitment business with direct experience in programmatic advertising and optimization highly desired. This role will manage a team of Inventory managers / Yield Optimizers who support sales and digital recruitment campaigns across sales regions, so the ideal candidate should have prior management experience and a proven track record of leading teams.


  • Manage the packaging, pricing, and data enablement of transaction models across the CareerBuilder US Marketplace offerings, with a keen understanding and focus on meeting the requirements of our clients and partners.
  • Ongoing monitoring, analysis, optimization, and assurance of the liquidity and health of the marketplace, leveraging data to inform future developments
  • Forecasting, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting supply and demand volume
  • Monitor client and partner performance to implement strategies to ensure achievement of internal and client KPIs
  • Analyze delivery and inventory utilization trends to make recommendations on how to best maximize yield and liquidity.
  • Manage and provide leadership, hiring, mentoring, and development to a team of Inventory & Yield professionals.


Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Fluency with Excel and BI tools, SQL a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does have supervisory responsibilities



Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience


Minimum Years of Experience:

5+ Years related experience in Yield/Optimization or Programmatic Optimization leadership role.


Physical Demands:

  • Frequent phone and computer use
  • Creating written communications
  • Able to sit/stand at a desk
  • Able to bend, sit, stand, lift boxes or equipment (between 0-15 lbs)
  • Able to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally


CareerBuilder employees are currently remote. We do have offices based in Chicago and Atlanta. When it is safe to return to the office, you will have the ability to continue to be remote or utilize the Chicago or Atlanta offices as determined by your manager.
