Position Overview

The customer experience is an integral part of the WORKTERRA organization. The EDI Analyst is responsible and dedicated to delivering a superior customer service experience as related to tools integrating data between clients, insurance carriers, and WORKTERRA. 

At WORKTERRA, our customers are the reason we are able to do what we do and our goal is to provide them a superior customer experience. The EDI Analyst plays a key role in developing tools to integrate data between clients, insurance carriers, and WORKTERRA.


  • Analyze inbound customer data to determine the best way to integrate with WORKTERRA
  • Develop tools to extract, transform, and load customer data
  • Develop and document processes for loading customer data
  • Validate the accuracy and completeness of all data input into WORKTERRA
  • Gather business requirements, perform, analysis, and present findings
  • Act as the primary point of contact with insurance providers to resolve issues related to EDI transactions
  • Support the implementation and ongoing development and testing of electronic transactions

Job Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ Years in healthcare EDI, HRIS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts, SQL server, and dimensional data models
  • Demonstrated experience with Web Services and Microsoft Office Automation
  • 1+ year Window Scripting Host or other client-side programming language
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Conceptual knowledge of working with ETL tools and processes
  • Familiar with commonly used EDI concepts, best practices, and procedures within the healthcare industry. Experience with employee benefits or HRIS is a plus
  • Familiar with Quality Assurance concepts and test plan development
