Job Summary:

The Learning & Development Specialist will help organize, design, deliver and measure organizational development activities across CareerBuilder AMERICAS. Responsible for improving the productivity and readiness of approximately 1,600 employees located within the U.S. & Canada while indirectly supporting and driving L&D initiatives across the entire organization (CareerBuilder EMEA and CareerBuilder APAC). This position will support learning initiatives by planning, delivering and administrating programs via CareerBuilder’s Learning Management System (LMS) including - but not limited to- consulting on best practices, reporting, LMS support, course design, program administration and evaluation, system configurations, and help demonstrate the value of CareerBuilder learning programs. The L&D Specialist will also be able to effectively delivery training virtually or classroom and design learning curricula when needed.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Primary point of contact for CareerBuilder Learning Management System administration (referred to as CareerBuilder University - CBU)
  • Help to organize and deliver learning programs and events including program setup, tracking, curricula development, evaluation and reporting using CareerBuilder University
  • Work with various business partners and internal stakeholders to implement best practices on the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities and events
  • Actively participate in the process of information exchange and change-management events to keep learning materials and LMS up-to-date
  • Provide onboarding support for new hires and trainers including the administration of rosters, reporting, evaluations, and assessments via LMS
  • Collaborate with other CareerBuilder learning professionals to help administer, design and deliver ad-hoc learning programs via LMS
  • Update Learning Management System configurations and features to conform to business needs (i.e. help with user acceptance and experience)
  • Conduct LMS content control and maintenance (i.e. ensure content is accessible across all LOBs, up-to-date with applicable curricula, uploading and creation of new materials, conduct reporting, etc.)
  • Provide LMS support to learners including managing the CB Learning mailbox to respond LMS questions and other learning requests
  • Update LMS user roles and manage security privileges as needed
  • Develop and deploy certification programs, assessments, and surveys using LMS/CareerBuilder University
  • Organize and share data to measure the effectiveness of learning programs   
  • Actively participate in the preparation and organization of learning events which may be virtual, live-instructor led, or blended
  • Delivery of training in a classroom or virtual setting as needed
  • Research and gather new and relevant best practices
  • Deliver impactful learning experiences to our team members



Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 year experience with learning and development/training and development.
  • 1+ years of experience with a learning management system (Litmos, SumTotal, Cornerstone, etc.)
  • Experience creating content, facilitating, delivery is required
  • Preferred experience in sales industry/sales training roles
  • Previous experience analyzing data, uploading new online training content
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities with ease and composure, while continuing to meet established deadlines
  • Possess the skills necessary to diplomatically and effectively communicate
  • Ability to make quick decisions that are in the best interest of the team
  • Ability to coordinate and effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization
