Position Summary

CareerBuilder is looking for an incredibly talented, agile and seasoned leader with experience using insights to drive business growth.  In this role you will be known to your business partners as someone who can surface powerful insights from data and has a strong business acumen.  You will manage a team of analysts responsible to drive the process of turning business questions, risks and issues into verifiable hypotheses, creating experiments and analysis to test them and make recommendations based on the analyses. Your teams’ analyses will significantly contribute to the development of our strategy and drive impact against our company key objectives.  

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide guidance to the C-suite and functional leaders on KPI's, metrics, and business decisions including accurate analysis of user and business data
  • Have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross-organizationally
  • Perform rigorous analyses, sensitivity analyses, scenario models and translate analysis into business recommendations
  • Drive standardization of performance reporting across analysis and reporting deliverables for marketing, product and other supported business areas
  • Provide reports that allow others to interact, utilize and better understand the underlying data, relationships, and insights
  • Analyze CB performance and recommend the right scenario for the right moment, delivering thought provoking proactive analyses to drive the business to better serve our customers
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure data sources are available for reporting and analysis initiatives
  • Engage with cross functional leaders to remove obstacles for their teams, deliver on stated goals and influence the way of working between teams
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product owners and senior leaders to craft the story about the data results – you are responsible for the “why”

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership in remote team environment
  • Creates simplicity and clarity of analysis, brings data to life and inspires action and understanding
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate ambiguous business requirements into complex analyses and actionable insights
  • Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identify and solve business issues through the provision of data analysis and insights
  • Proactive – find the next big story that needs to be told and resolved.
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility at all levels, inside and outside the organization; must exude both confidence and humility with a customer-first focus

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience 

  • 10+ years leading teams in data and statistical analysis, with a deep understanding of explanatory power of data and hypothesis-driven analysis.
  • Proven ability to tell a story through data and communicate effectively with senior leadership; mastery of advanced visualization techniques with an ability to translate findings for a general business audience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required/ MBA a plus

**This role is remote. All CareerBuilder teams are currently remote due to COVID-19. When it is safe to return to the office, those teams will transition back to the office.**
