What’s The Role?

The National Account Executive is responsible for selling CareerBuilder's suite of products, from small deals to complex solutions that align with the client's vision. Most importantly, you are an expert at solving problems by researching your clients/prospects, learning about their industry and business, and identifying challenges, they currently and prospectively may face. You identify multiple decision makers throughout organizations and present meaningful data and information to illustrate their pains and propose meaningful solutions. You are strategic, organized and a master at generating and cultivating relationships. Tenacious and driven, you are truly passionate about helping your clients/prospects become more efficient and profitable.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage clients to evaluate business needs and recruiting strategies in new ways. Constructively challenge client perceptions and the status quo.
  • Customer experience comes first. You must have an innate ability to engage, support, and service your customers.
  • Sales must be your passion.  A competitive spirit and extreme focus to achieve and exceed sales goals is the CareerBuilder culture.   
  • Each day your focus will be to identify opportunities, create the business case, and close the sale. You are able to own the entire sales lifecycle and have complete control over your success.  
  • CareerBuilder’s salesforce are hunters! You must have the ability to pipeline development through a combination of cold calling, email campaigns, and industry knowledge in efforts to hunt new business.
  • You are able to articulate the value of new services to your existing client base and continue to expand the business with a set of nationwide accounts who currently partner with CareerBuilder.
  • With growth comes change, a good candidate must thrive on change while remaining highly organized, optimistic, and coachable.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Must have 7+ years proven B2B outside sales experience
  • Fortune 500 experience 
  • Superior hunting/cold-calling capabilities and account management skills; desire to deliver world-class customer service.
  • Documented success selling large complex accounts with multiple decision makers
  • Proven success selling to the executive level as well as multiple buyers at several levels within large, enterprise organizations
  • Experience with conceptual sales, solution selling, and value-based selling
  • Expert at solving problems by researching your clients/prospects, learning about their industry and business, and identifying challenges they are currently facing and will be facing.  
  • Documented proof of quota attainment 
  • Must be able to travel up to 50%
  • Able to self-motivate and work independently
  • High activity sales cycle for generating new business
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong sense of initiative, self-starting attitude and desire to achieve
  • Experience being held to metrics 
  • Flourishes in a fast-paced, team environment and handles time effectively

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Intermediate competency with Microsoft office tools
  • Basic experience with CRM software/tools
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Essential Functions:

  • Frequent phone and computer use
  • Creating written communications
  • Need to be able to sit at a desk
