Position Overview

Responsible for developing and executing our global social media strategy across multiple platforms and audiences. Serve as an advocate for CareerBuilder and be empowered to create engaged communities using forward-thinking strategies that contribute to company awareness, recognition and engagement. Responsible for aligning social channels to CareerBuilder’s audience, knowing the nuances and context for each, and know how to maximize company resources to drive impact across digital channels. Integrally involved in the tracking and development of content that resonates with and activates our audience. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media & content strategy plans and define a continuous publishing schedule to meet the needs of our B2B and B2C audiences
  • Determine which social channels support company goals and proper usage (global, local, hybrid)
  • Drive the strategy around how and when we distribute content across multiple channels
  • Contribute to the strategy around the monitoring of our social media presence and competitor activity
  • Track and analyze performance of campaigns and social media activities, translating what you are doing, why you are doing it and to be able to present the business value of content marketing to business people
  • Help internal clients integrate social media with current content, marketing, customer care and sales initiatives
  • Ensure that corporate level social media standards and directives are reflected in all social channels globally
  • Develop and deliver content for internal social training and communications
  • Ensure strategic initiatives are being carried out across all platforms and that best practices are being scaled
  • Keep up on emerging social media tips, tricks, sites, case studies, and happenings and share learnings across the company to help champion a social workforce
  • Identify external relationships to help expand reach of CareerBuilder’s brand
  • Encourage the adoption of relevant social media techniques in an innovative way across the company

 

Job Requirements:

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in social media marketing
  • 1-2 years experience in marketing, PR is a plus
  • A proven track record of increasing engagement on business social media accounts
  • Strong attention to detail, high level of urgency
  • Experience running accounts on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • A passion for creativity as well as analytics
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Takes direction well and eager to learn
  • Graphic design and/or photography skills are a plus
  • Experience with Sprout, Bit.ly, Google Analytics, and WorkFront is a plus

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations
  • Balance between right and left brain thinking: Ability to be creative and intuitive while equally critical and analytical with the ability to spot trends in the data
  • Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments
  • Savvy business sense and a passion for social media
  • Demonstrated ability to share creative and new ideas
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities and experiment in new projects

  • Excellent social writing skills - meaning you can convey a concise, compelling message
  • Ability to withstand pressure in a dynamic work environment - effective time management skills, a keen eye for detail, and organization
  • Confidence to make judgments and act swiftly

  • Discretion and good judgment working with confidential/sensitive information
