CareerBuilder LLC has an opening for Software Engineer III in Pleasanton, California.

Develop and maintain web-scraping, client API integration and automated posting platforms. Develop and maintain the applications that enable more than 80% of CareerBuilder's job postings. Work with team members and a product owner to build user experiences that allow the Automated Posting Solutions team to post customer's jobs on the website and power CareerBuilder products. Responsible for maintaining and expanding the current job acquisition platform by: adding meaningful monitoring and self-recovering solutions as well as refactoring the legacy monolith into more consistent and coherent micro services, building additional integrations with external APIs to make job acquisition more scalable and reliable and advocating and practicing clean code principles and giving constructive feedback and code-reviews. Participate in designing fault-tolerant systems so the team can be both bold and safe in their implementations without negatively impacting customers. Responsible for coordinating with our product, business, and support teams to evaluate, implement and maintain software products, proactively keeping all stakeholders up-to date with upcoming changes. Contribute to the common knowledge base by documenting our current processes, studying new development tools/programming techniques and sharing regularly with the team. Responsible for participating in regular team retrospective/sprint-review meetings and actively look for ways to make our code base and our processes more efficient and maintainable, as well as opportunities to help our teams work better with each other. May supervise two employees.

Job Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or related technical field, and five years of experience in software development and integration or related.

Also must have the following work experience:

• Two years of experience using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform including connectors like HTTP, AWS, DB, VM, JMS, and File/FTP;
• Two years of experience with Microservice architecture and service-oriented architecture concepts;
• Four years of experience using Java;
• One year of experience using AWS technologies; and
• Two years of experience with Development Methodologies (Agile) and Estimation Techniques.
