The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for assisting with monthly/quarterly journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis.  In addition, this role will play a critical role streamlining and automating accounting processes and reporting.   Finally, this role will assist with the preparation of financial statements and will collaborate with FP&A to ensure a comprehensive package is produced.   This individual will lead various initiatives and must be able to partner closely with cross functional groups and have strong communication skills.  

General Responsibilities

  • Identify and execute process improvements
  • Streamline accounting reports with automated solutions such as BPC, Tableau, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements including P&L, Balance sheet, and Statement of Cash Flow and collaborating with FP&A to automate and streamline reports across departments
  • Prepare complex schedules and analysis, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Responsible for performing analytics to ensure account fluctuations are in alignment with expectations
  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place
  • Perform a quality review of work and provide guidance to entry level staff
  • Identify areas of risk as they arise and provide a suggested approach to address these risks
  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners in Finance, Facilities, Sales, Legal, IT, Marketing HR, etc.
  • Assist in coordinating and responding to internal and external audit requests.
  • Assist in developing general accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

Job Requirements:


  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting
  • BA/BS in Accounting
  • CPA preferred but not required      
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Prior experience with Revenue, Capitalized Software, Debt, and private equity is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Lawson General Ledger, BPC, Tableau and Blackline preferred

  • Proven characteristics of consistent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong partnership skills and ability to develop positive working relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to take deep dives, understanding end to end processes and implementing process improvements
