U.S. Office Locations: Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Irvine, CA 

Summary of the Job:

Administer employee benefit and compensation programs globally. You will work with all employees at different levels helping them understand, enroll in and/or change their personal benefit plans. You will also ensure compliance under ERISA with all benefits plans.  You will manage domestic company leaves with our third-party vendor. You will support the company’s compensation efforts by assisting with market pricing company roles and other compensation-related items.  While supporting these efforts, you will also craft communications educating employees and promoting our total rewards here at CareerBuilder. 


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day implementation and administration of all global benefit plans
  • Key employee-facing contact for employee Inquiries
  • Answer all eligibility questions and research/resolve any issues that may arise
  • Research legal requirements and provide reporting
  • Develop benefits communication and educational programs for employees
  • Audit/test benefit information modules in the HRIS system
  • Assist in the Company’s Annual Open Enrollment activities
  • Manage leave plans for employees (ADA, STD, LTD, WC)
  • Oversight for and QA for all billing
  • Manage year end wrap up functions (plan audits, governmental filings, etc)
  • Assist retirement plan and health/welfare compliance efforts
  • Assist with market pricing company roles

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Workday experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Well-developed employee relations and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work with employees and providers to resolve complex issues
  • Strong practical knowledge of employee benefits programs and related regulatory statutes
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to employee information
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must provide a high level of "customer service" to our employees
  • Must have a sharp eye for detail
  • Effective and comfortable with a team operations environment
  • Ability to be self-directed and consistently achieve project schedules and goals



Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Benefits


Physical Demands:

  • Frequent phone and computer use
  • Creating written communications
  • Able to sit/stand at a desk
  • Able to bend, sit, stand, lift boxes or equipment (between 0-15 lbs)
  • Able to travel occasionally both domestically and international
