Job Summary:

The Training & Development Specialist will help organize, design, deliver and measure organizational development activities across CareerBuilder AMERICAS. Responsible for improving the productivity and readiness of approximately 1,600 employees located within the U.S. & Canada while indirectly supporting and driving L&D initiatives across the entire organization (CareerBuilder EMEA and CareerBuilder APAC). This position will support learning initiatives by planning, delivering and administrating programs via CareerBuilder’s Learning Management System (LMS) including - but not limited to- consulting on best practices for adult learning, reporting on training activities, LMS support, course design, program administration and evaluation, delivery of content, and help demonstrate the value of CareerBuilder learning programs. The T&D Specialist will also be able to effectively deliver training virtually or classroom and develop learning curricula and materials.

 

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Organize, facilitate and deliver learning programs and events including program setup, tracking, curricula development, evaluation and reporting using CareerBuilder University
  • Work with various business partners and internal stakeholders to implement best practices on the planning, delivery, development and evaluation of learning activities and events
  • Actively participate in the process of information exchange and change-management events to keep curricula and learning materials up-to-date
  • Provide onboarding support for new hires including the delivery of new hire training, tracking of rosters, administrating evaluations and assessments via LMS
  • Collaborate with other CareerBuilder training professionals to help organize and deliver ad-hoc learning programs and track them via LMS
  • Provide post-classroom support for new hires and hiring managers including debriefs and coordinating on-the-job training
  • Participate in the development and delivery of certification programs, assessments, and surveys using LMS/CareerBuilder University
  • Organize and share data with leaders to measure the effectiveness of learning programs
  • Actively deliver training in a classroom or virtual setting including organizing and executing impactful learning experiences to our team members
  • Obtain knowledge on CareerBuilder products and services and ways to incorporate understanding into new hire or existing team member learning opportunities
  • Build effective relationships with internal leaders to assess training needs
  • Design learning programs and create curricula for new hires and existing team members
  • Act as point of contact for CareerBuilder Learning Management System administration (referred to as CareerBuilder University - CBU)

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a training-related role required
  • Must be able to organize and execute pre and post-classroom learning tasks and logistics to ensure a successful learning experience for team members (classroom, virtual or blended)
  • Facilitate new hire training and functional training content to sales team members
  • Coordinate with guest speakers and subject-matter experts to deliver content to team members on a regular basis
  • Leverage LMS permissions to upload training content, create and update activity rosters, deploy surveys and assessments
  • Understand how to leverage LMS data (surveys, completions, assessments) to measure the effectiveness of learning programs
  • Ability to design learning materials and curricula for new and existing team members including professional development content, product training and ad-hoc requests
  • Work with new hires and leaders for post-classroom training support and on-the-job training opportunities
  • LMS experience (Litmos, SumTotal, Cornerstone, etc.) required  
  • Project management experience desired
  • Sales background or experience preferred
  • Some travel may be required
