Job Summary:

The Account Manager will manage general escalations and implement program changes for small-to-medium accounts. This requires strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure client needs are met. The Account Manager also serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on at least one CareerBuilder Employment Screening product. Essential skills include organization, time management, and problem sensitivity.

  • Provide expert service and solutions to new and existing customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings; thoroughly understand their needs and help them maximize their use of CareerBuilder Employment Screening products and services
    • Process protocol and package changes
    • Lead root cause analysis conversations
    • Provide client training
    • Convey technical solutions in everyday language the client will understand
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual business reviews and obtain grade (varies)
  • Conduct monthly CRM analysis
  • Monitor activity and satisfaction levels; report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and recommend improvements
  • Analyze and interpret information received using deductive and inductive reasoning skills to determine the best solution and follow through to completion; provide alternative solutions to product concerns
  • Proactively identify problems and engage with appropriate partners
  • Host regular meetings with key decision makers
  • Attain revenue retention goal
  • Implement process improvements
  • Attain a high-level understanding of internal processes
  • Possess Subject Matter Expert (SME) expertise on one (1) specific CareerBuilder Employment Screening product
  • Document and manage project plans
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and positions within the company on the resolution of requests; escalate operational and technical issues to internal teams
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as internal teams and stakeholders; demonstrate collaboration and partnership with internal partners and client


Job Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or similar field (preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience building/maintaining business-to-business client relationships
  • Previous experience in background screening and drug testing (preferred)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Previous experience with proprietary systems, Visio (preferred) and CRM systems
  • Previous experience working under pressure on time-sensitive issues in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and responsive to client needs
