The Associate Agile Program Manager focuses on Project Scope, Measurement & Transparency for R&D teams in a defined program area.


For each project that the Associate Agile Program Manager is aligned to, he/she is responsible for understanding the scope and expected outcomes to be to achieved to the degree that they can report out on progress, risk, and estimated completion targets. The person in the role must execute effective scoping techniques within their project team(s) to ensure our organization is capable of delivering on the right outcome at the right time with the right resources. Through day-to-day oversight of assigned projects throughout the duration of the project(s) timeline, the person in this role should be able to measure and report on the active progress towards completion of all projects assigned.


The person in this role must be an effective communicator with the ability to raise awareness about resource constraints and/or dependency conflicts. This person is also responsible for identifying, communicating and vocalizing process inefficiencies within their project team(s), managing these issues up to their Program Area Leadership for resolution.


Project Scoping:
• Ensure every project is properly kicked off with clearly defined scope and understanding of dependencies
• Ensure every project has a clear definition of ready and done documented
• Ensure every project has clear metrics for pre and post release measurement of ROI
• Ensure the testing plan is outlined and understood by all project team members


Project Measurement:
• Ensure scope of project is tracked accurately
• Ensure estimated completion targets are captured and reported on frequently


Project Transparency:
• Ensure transparency into impediments, risks, slowdowns and/or resource conflicts
• Frequent communication to program leadership of project status, milestone achievements and any project challenges

 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or Computer Science or related discipline
• 3-5 years overall experience required
• 2+ years as Project Manager, Delivery Manager or related discipline in an Agile Environment required
• Ability to work co-located with R&D team required
• Current Scrum Master certification preferred
• Good communication ability, both verbally and written, at all levels
• Good organizational and prioritizing skills with ability to multi-task
• Strategic thinking a plus
