What's the Role?

The HR Compensation Analyst takes an active role in all aspects of designing and administering the company’s compensation programs. The HR Compensation Analyst will analyze jobs, design and administer a pay for performance program geared towards attracting top talent, driving business results, improving performance excellence, working directly with business leaders by aligning HR/Compensation strategies to maximize employee retention, and helping to promote our employment brand. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic organization and help drive employee engagement in an energizing, unique environment. This role will be based in our Chicago offices.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Conducts analysis of jobs, hourly wages, salaries and incentives to evaluate internal equity and market competitiveness
  • Analyzes, designs, and administers employer compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs
  • Recommends and implements salary grades or market rates for specific jobs
  • Recommends annual salary increase budget
  • Participates/conducts market surveys
  • Ensures that requests for pay adjustments comply with current compensation policy
  • Responsible for vendor management

Job Requirements:

What do we need from you? 

We need people who enjoy working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment! People who will work hard and have fun doing it! We need people who work well under pressure, like to be challenged and understand how critical it is to get the job done right!  

Oh, and we need these things too...

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Compensation role required
  • Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communications skills required
  • Exceptionally strong experience utilizing Excel required
  • Ability to work with managers and business leaders and providers to resolve complex issues required
  • Strong practical knowledge of compensation programs and legal compliance of pay practices required
  • Workday HRIS experience preferred
  • Experience creating and implementing short and long term incentive plans preferred
