The Compensation Manager will drive all aspects of developing and administering the company’s compensation programs. The HR Compensation Manager will analyze jobs, design and administer a pay for performance program geared towards attracting top talent, improving performance excellence and driving business results.  He or She will work directly with business leaders by aligning HR/Compensation strategies that will maximize employee retention and help  promote our employment brand. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic organization and help drive employee engagement in an energizing, unique environment. This role will be based in our Chicago HQ offices.

Job Requirements:

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Develop and analyze employer compensation programs
  • Assist in the design and implementation of base pay structures, incentive pay, and performance management programs
  • Evaluate, benchmark and price jobs to ensure market competitiveness
  • Evaluate current salary ranges for external competitiveness and internal equity
  • Analyze current compensation data and recommends salary grades
  • Analyze and forecast the costs of compensation programs
  • Recommends annual salary increase budget
  • Participates/conducts market surveys
  • Ensures programs align with business objectives and comply with all applicable laws
  • Responsible for vendor management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years of experience in Compensation
  • Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work with managers and business leaders and providers to resolve complex issues
  • Strong practical knowledge of compensation programs and legal compliance of pay practices
  • Workday HRIS experience preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A high degree of computer literacy and problem-solving skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to employee information
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to adapt to changing requirements and needs of the business
  • Must provide a high level of "customer service" to our stakeholders
  • Must have a sharp eye for detail
  • Effective and comfortable with a team operations environment
  • Ability to be self-directed and consistently achieve project schedules and goals
