Human Resources Business Partner

HR Business Partners work closely with CareerBuilder leadership in both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support.  This role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

The HR Business Partner takes an active role in all aspects of the employee experience, from engaging with new employees joining our Company, through the various steps of the employee life-cycle. The HR Business Partner will help develop and implement initiatives geared towards driving business results, improving performance excellence, working directly with business leaders by aligning HR strategies with client groups to maximize potential, and helping to promote our employment brand. 
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic organization and help drive employee engagement and team effectiveness in an energizing, unique environment. This role will be based in Atlanta and split time between offices in Norcross and Buckhead.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Partner closely with line of business leadership to drive the people and organization agenda.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Utilize sound judgment in decision-making and when formulating recommendations. 
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. 
  • Work closely with internal client groups on day-to-day performance management process and coaching of managers on the development and performance improvement process for employees.
  • Drive performance assessment processes.
  • Work with leaders to develop initiatives that drive business results, and ensure the culture is aligned with our core company values by continually assessing employee engagement.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Gather and analyze employee engagement data through means such as the annual engagement survey results, informal discussions, feedback from employee exit interviews, attending departmental team meetings, and other creative methods in order to understand the current pulse and best identify opportunities for continued development. 
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with client leadership to develop programs and solutions to organizational issues.
  • Guide managers through compensation inquiries for their business units. Provide compensation benchmarking data (both internal and external), give recommendations and feedback to leaders developing comp guidelines, and assist managers in determining pay changes for internal employees and new employees joining the company. 
  • Be challenged to develop innovative solutions for process improvements and realize opportunities for gained efficiencies that are impactful to our HR Team and to the employees of the company. 
  • Engage cross functionally with functions outside of HR to create strong working relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR Delivery team to ensure accuracy of employee data, processing of organizational changes, workflow process, and reporting. 
  • Partner with the Recruiting team and hiring managers as needed to assist in the talent acquisition process. Provide guidance to hiring managers for questions related to the recruitment and on-boarding of new employees. 
  • Work with the Learning & Development team to identify and create new course content and offerings based on business interest and need. Conduct employee and manager education and training courses as needed. 
  • Partner with our legal team to stay current on legal trends and share this knowledge with team members and leaders that you work with as needed. Make decisions and provide advice while mitigating risk and incorporating all necessary legal considerations. 
  • Partner with the Benefits team to promote the company’s robust benefit offerings, including but not limited to Medical, Dental and Vision programs, Paid-time off, Leave programs, 401(k), wellness initiatives, and more. Educate employees on what’s available to them in order to achieve the best utilization based on the employee’s needs. 
  • Partner with the Payroll team as needed to troubleshoot employee’s questions related to their pay and with our automated payroll web portal use.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or a related field 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources Business Partner
  • Experience working within the disciplines of Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Management, Recruiting, Change Management, Benefits, HRIS, Analytics, Learning and Development, and Payroll
  • Results oriented and service-minded with the ability to build trusted relationships and partner with business leaders to achieve initiatives and deliver results
  • Able to think creatively and independently
  • Willingness to adapt to changing requirements and needs of the business
  • Excellent conflict resolutions skills with the ability to act as a facilitator and advisor
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills; comfortable in front of senior leadership and decision makers
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience running and analyzing HRIS reports
  • Experience in Workday preferred
  • Frequent computer use
  • Ability to Travel
  • PHR, SHRM-CP Certification, preferred
