As a Developer on the Implementation Software Development team, your primary role will be configuring new client’s software solutions, developing technical customizations, resolving customer inquiries, and managing ongoing maintenance.   Internally, you will work closely with IT, Sales, and the Implementation Software Project Management team; therefore, strong team communication and cooperation skills are necessary.  


Major Responsibilities/Activities  (List the major functions for this position, what the employee is expected to do on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sound understanding of Textkernel platform and configuration capabilities as well as other CareerBuilder SaaS offerings.
  • Communicate with customers (technical, business and management) through the software integration process, starting at pre-sales consultancy to discuss needs, goals and constraints.
  • Create project plans and technical designs, and monitor the project progress according to the best practices.
  • Independently set up, install and configure Textkernel’ s products on SaaS hosting platform.
  • Diagnose problems to provide technical support to customers and partners.
  • Analyze enterprise level client’s current workflow and perform business process evaluation to provide solution recommendations, configuration details and define scope of work.
  • Provide client based training on software functionality.
  • Works closely with technology development and fulfillment teams to develop a strong relationship and identify process improvements.
  • Responsible for project implementation meetings and calls with large multifaceted client organizations.
  • Communicates with sales and internal leadership to identify critical projects and opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of all software development and technical projects.
  • Perform or assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems; correct identified problems.
  • Participate in weekly US based Textkernel meeting with Software Implementation team.
  • Meet weekly with the Software Development Team Lead to review day to day operations and opportunities for streamlining process.
  • Independent management of multiple software development projects.
  • Gains working knowledge of secondary implementation software configurations

Job Requirements:

  • Job Requirements 

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
    • 3 years’ experience Programming in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Perl, bash scripting, JavaScript, PHP, C#, XTML, HTML
    • 3 years’ implementation/post-sales support experience
    • 3 years’ experience coding, troubleshooting/debugging
    • 3 years’ experience with technical troubleshooting and problem resolutions, with mixed operating systems (e.g. Linux, Windows).
    • Ability to travel 20%
    • Strong communication skills

    • Adapt to varying communication levels and styles
    • Experience in human resource service/software/help desk experience a plus
    • Diagnose trends and use data and collective information
    • Willingness to adapt to change in regard to project type, communication styles and process improvements
    • Maintain a positive attitude – both internally and externally
    • Manage, motivate and mentor internal and external stakeholders
    • Advanced MS Office skills; including OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
    • Salesforce experience is a plus
    • Advanced Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies (HTML, CSS, AJAX, Java Script) preferred
    • Advanced Knowledge of web servers (Apache/Tomcat) and server-to-server communication protocols (SOAP,REST,HTTP).
    • Experience in project management
