Position Overview 

The Marketing Analytics Manager is a key member of the Marketing Operations team, supporting the global marketing organization at CareerBuilder. 
 
In this critical role within global CareerBuilder Marketing, you will have the opportunity to lead and grow the data strategy and analytics function in support of our B2B, B2C and eCommerce marketers. You will drive all metric planning, analysis, reporting, and optimization efforts across the marketing team. These efforts will be central to improving overall team performance and maximizing the team’s impact against key objectives such as increasing brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation and acceleration, and revenue. You will also be responsible for synthesizing and analyzing marketing data from various sources (CRM, MAS, EDW, Web Analytics, etc.) to discover deep insights about customers, marketing campaigns and tactics. Through summarization and presentation of the findings, you will help drive smart, data-informed decision making across the organization. 
 
This is an individual contributor position and reports to the Vice President of Marketing Operations & Productivity. 

  

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Data Analysis, Reporting, & Communication Of Optimization Recommendations 
  • Analysis: 
  • Perform in-depth analysis to determine the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns 
  • Conduct analysis of digital communications contact frequency across customer segments in order to optimize the digital marketing team’s overall contact management strategy 
  • Conduct segmentation and pipeline analysis to identify campaign opportunities for targeting customer segments or specific accounts that have a high probability of increasing ROI 
    campaigns and the e-commerce component of the website in driving online purchases; Monitor purchasing trends across product lines 
  • Reporting & Optimization: 
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting plans that deliver performance data and insight into the overall team’s performance, all campaign performance, and each digital marketing channel’s performance 
  • Communication: 
  • Drive the development of data visualization in order to communicate results clearly and efficiently Create digital marketing performance “dashboards” that can be leveraged by team members and key stakeholders 
  •  Act as the key analytics evangelist and act as analytics trainer for decentralizing the analytics effort within deeper levels of the organization 
  •  Metric planning & strategy: 
  • Develop metric plans for measuring the impact of the marketing team’s performance against goals and objectives 
  • Create and execute metric plans for each functional area within marketing including, but not limited to campaign marketing, events and digital marketing (Email marketing, website marketing, social media, and paid digital advertising) 
  • Work with the marketing functional leads along with key marketing and sales stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs), reportingplans, and timelines for communicating results 
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales operations teams to drive the analysis and decisions regarding the investment, setup, management, and usage of analytic platforms to be adopted by the marketing team 
     

 

Job Requirements:

Requirements 

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in B2B marketing analytics. Sales operations or sales analytics experience highly desired. 
  • 2+ years of hands on experience with Salesforce.com and Marketo or Eloqua system reporting and analysis. 
  • Strong knowledge about B2B marketing demand/revenue generation process and operations; understand various types of marketing campaigns, tactics and their effectiveness; understand demand waterfall, lead life cycle, pipeline generation and the stages in between. 
  • Ability to understand and frame business problems into analytical problems; acquire and synthesize data from multiple sources; provide insights and actionable recommendations to marketing decision-makers via reports, dashboards and deep analysis. 
  • Ability to design and deploy rich and intuitive graphic visualizations using data analytics and business intelligence tools. Advanced knowledge of Tableau and Microsoft Excel is highly desired. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for translating data insights into concise and insightful executive summaries and presentations. 
  • Expert-level proficiency in data processing tools and techniques such as SQL, MySQL, Excel, MS Access and VBA etc. 
  • Project management experience highly desired. Ability to juggle multiple projects, organize time effectively, deliver results on time and with high quality. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team structure. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related field.
