CareerBuilder is looking for a Product Manager for the Talent Network product. This integral member of the product management team identifies solutions and communicates prioritized requirements that drive the development of the product.

Talent Network is optimized career sites designed to build a candidate pipeline and automatically keep members engaged with open positions. Our mobile first career sites are available in over 32 languages worldwide and have been built with over 20 years of proprietary candidate research.  

The Product Manager ensures that the product functionality is created in the order and manner that represents the best approach from perspective of the business, product and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have a user-first mindset and focus on what is possible vs. what is standard practice in the industry. They will have excellent product instincts, passion for great app experiences, a data-centric mindset, strong communication skills, and the willingness to do what it takes to ensure change happens for what is best for the users.

Responsibilities

Launch new features and work with other teams to execute a product roadmap based on business vision, market trends, user feedback and business analytics, collaborating with internal stakeholders.

  • Manage full life cycle of feature sets from experience definition to optimization and product life-cycle enhancements
  • Drives innovation. Bring new ideas to the product and executes them
  • Partner with dependent units, as well as delivery, technology, and UX/UI teams to define realistic resource management and scheduling
  • Work with stakeholders and required teams to ensure clear and scalable requirements are created
  • Hands on experience with analysis tools, with a strong understanding of data driven decision making
  • Ongoing competitive analysis to ensure that we are providing top- tier products to our online consumers

Own the relationship between product owner and the sprint teams

  • Represent and share the product vision to the scrum team
  • Lead the Functional Grooming of the user stories
  • Represent the product team in Sprint planning meetings, Technical Grooming, daily Scrum meeting, Sprint Retrospectives and Sprint Demos
  • Serve as focal point for any pre-sprint or in-sprint inquiries from the sprint team
  • Execute the acceptance process for user stories
  • Lead resolution of issues impacting success of the current or future sprints
  • Own and manage development backlogs within the agile delivery framework. Create user stories/product features; determine business value, priorities and MVP
  • Support product build and provide acceptance for delivered product

Confirm that technical architecture and technical design aligns to the short- term and long-term product vision

  • Inspire technical teams to innovate and create industry-leading solutions while balancing immediate product plans
  • Partner with the Platform teams to collate and maintain the technical requirements for the development
  • Prioritize mix of minor necessary enhancements and new innovations/revenue/cost opportunities
  • Work with business teams to understand customer needs

Create and maintain the user story backlog partnering with other teams

  • Define and create the user story structure—themes, epics, etc.
  • Create user stories for the product functionality and desired customer experience
  • Prioritize user stories in the backlog
  • Coordinate with technical teams to finalize list of user stories for each sprint
  • Ensure that Product Sprints run one month in advance of Development Sprint for User Story Creation and Design work

 

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years as a product manager.
  • Product experience with talent acquisition platforms or in the HR tech space
  • Brings B2B and B2C experience and knows how to grow user uptake and retain them
  • Demonstrated business/product analytics experience on an Agile product team
  • Experience with Jira, Agile tools and writing user stories
  • Experience conveying concepts through visuals
