The primary responsibilities of the Senior Accountant are to support corporate accounting, financial reporting, and global treasury functions using thoughtful analysis to support Leadership goals.

Corporate accounting and financial reporting:

  • Obtain a strong understanding of CareerBuilder’s accounting policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and provide a suggested approach to achieve
  • Address areas of risk as identified
  • Prepare Journal Entries to support close process
  • Analyze and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
  • Maintain / improve quarterly and annual compliance reporting
  • Ad hoc reporting to support management analysis and external requests

Maintain global treasury function:

  • Global cash management
  • Improve / maintain banking structures and systems
  • Support initiatives for regulatory requirements (i.e. Dodd Frank, EMIR, SEPA, FBAR, MMF reforms)
  • Monitor debt and ensure covenant compliance
  • Support corporate insurance program(s) annual renewal process
  • Support weekly, monthly and annual cash forecasts to senior leadership

Assist with various ad-hoc projects as needed

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong understanding of debits and credits
  • GAAP financial reporting
  • Intermediate Excel skills

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • CPA preferred
  • 3 – 5 years public accounting
  • Ability to succeed in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational capabilities
  • Proven characteristics of consistent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Lawson software a plus
