The Senior Editorial and Content Services Manager will lead the development strategy of CareerBuilder's voice and ensure its application is unified. In addition to creating content to support B2C & B2B audiences, they will develop editorial calendars, frame content pillars and lead a team of junior writers.

The Editorial Services Manager develops, articulates, and maintains the CareerBuilder brand voice and tone strategy. This role leads the marketing content execution team to drive new and renewing business.

  • Developing strategy for CareerBuilder brand voice, tone, and style across all channels of content and audiences, including B2B & B2C; determining successful content methodologies and brand storytelling
  • Acting as editor-in-chief to insure all CareerBuilder content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice; be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style in execution
  • Supervising writers, editors, and content creators in Marketing & beyond, as well as outside contractors/freelancers
  • Working with Marketing leadership to develop content strategies, and execution to support and extend marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with Creative Team on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent message and tone across channels 
  • Developing a cross-functional content services calendar throughout the enterprise 
  • Optimize content by data gathering with operations and distribution teams, making recommendations and taking action based on results 
  • Institute services processes for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content 
  • Supervising the maintenance of content inventories and matrices and identifying gaps
  • Ensuring consistent global experience, implement appropriate localization/translation strategies with global teams 
  • Participation in the hiring and supervising of content creators within Marketing and across other departments 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline required 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a content marketing role in a high-tech B2B software organization 
  • Strong ability to engage and persuade audiences with brand storytelling 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in best practices in modern B2B marketing 
  • Excellent communications and writing skills
  • Experience leading teams of writers and editors to produce excellent work 
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail 
  • Passion and skill for leading and partnering with cross-functional teams and customers 
  • Confident, positive, energetic, professional and team-oriented attitude 
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
