This is a Chicago-based position reporting to the Chicago-based Finance Director APAC/UK.  The position requires the need to work closely with the Chicago-based corporate Finance team.  They will effectively communicate financial results to help leaders understand and manage their business and financial performance.  Additionally, the Senior Analyst will provide ad-hoc financial analysis to Finance and EMEA/APAC leadership as needed.  This position requires the ability to act as a liaison between various Finance groups (Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and Treasury) and leadership.

 

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Assist in consolidating monthly forecast data for all EMEA/APAC entities.
  • Utilizing data provided by local markets, prepare monthly journal entries for some entities (e.g. Sweden, Vietnam, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure correct journal entries are booked at month-end.
  • Present consolidated International results to CFO and Finance leadership at the month-end close meeting.
  • Manage monthly forecasting and annual budget process for EMEA/APAC.
  • Investigate variances between Actual, Budget, Forecast and Prior Year results.
  • Update and distribute monthly financial packages to multiple business units and Finance leaders.
  • Examine invoicing, revenue and expense trends and provide management with detailed monthly analysis.
  • Work closely with leadership on ad-hoc reporting and analytical projects.
  • Work with the Financial Systems team to initiate and roll out financial process enhancements.

 

Job Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years professional experience
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
  • Big 4 Accounting experience a plus, not required
  • MBA/CPA or progress towards a degree/certification a plus, not required

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with accounting and financial modeling
  • Excellent Excel skills- Pivot tables, V-lookups
  • Experience with Data Cubes highly desirable
  • Experience with SAP’s Business, Planning, & Consolidation Tool a plus
  • Experience with Tableau a plus

  • High attention to detail
  • Clear and concise writing ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across global time zones
  • Intermediate understanding of German, French or Vietnamese a plus (not required)
