Join the CBES Engineering Team as a DevOps Engineer! The Engineer is responsible for the setup, stability, monitoring, and support of the system infrastructure and development release processes. Work with the Engineering team to upgrade existing systems, set up new services and monitoring, build deployment pipelines and processes, enhance security, and help migrate to the cloud. CBES is growing and expanding rapidly, so this is an exciting place to be!

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Server Upgrades and Patches
  • Map out and improve Infrastructure Architecture
  • Work with internal teams to set up deployment pipelines for new services
  • Work with external teams to set up new DNS records, structure Disaster Recovery sites, and more
  • Plan and timeline a Cloud Migration
  • Work with Development teams to coordinate deprecation of older technologies and security standards
  • Monitoring & alerting of system stability and outages
  • Identify technical debt and outline plan to improve existing system
  • Research, compare, and implement new solutions for logging, monitoring, reporting, alerting, etc.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field
  • Experience setting up and implementing Build & Deployment pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Team City, Jenkins, Octopus, Ansible, etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages and batch processing using languages such as PowerShell
  • Strong experience with Windows Servers and related infrastructure (IIS, Scheduled Tasks, Active Directory)
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic
  • Experience with Databases (MS SQL a plus)
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate to both a technical and non-technical audience
  • Self-sufficient and driven, able to accomplish tasks in a timely fashion. Can repeatedly take work from start to finish, not afraid to ask questions. Thorough – thinks of and plans for edge cases
  • Team Leadership a plus
  • Experience with Linux servers a plus
  • Development experience in Visual Basic or C# a plus
