What's the Role? 

The CareerBuilder Sales team is looking for a skilled Major Account Executive to join the CB family! The Major Account Executive will champion bringing CBES solutions to clients across the country.

You will be an expert in understanding client needs and providing sourcing solutions across the Talent Acquisition and Management spectrum. In addition, you will engage with internal sales stakeholders, clients and delivery teams to provide consistent service quality to our clients.

The position requires high touch client and relationship management with a strong focus on customer needs and revenue generation. Integrity, proactivity and the ability to build long lasting and effective relationships are essential for this role.

Further Responsibilities Include:

  • You will become a subject matter expert on human resources, recruitment landscape, and how the economy impacts today’s workforce.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to your clients by identifying and consulting with key decision makers to understand their business needs and build a business case for CareerBuilder Employment Screening's solutions.
  • Constructively challenge client perceptions and the status quo.
  • Customer experience comes first. You must have an innate ability to engage, support, and service your customers.
  • Sales must be your passion. A competitive spirit and extreme focus to achieve and exceed sales goals is the CareerBuilder and CareerBuilder Employment Screening culture.   
  • Each day your focus will be to identify opportunities, create the business case and close the sale. You are able to own the entire sales lifecycle and have complete control over your success.  
  • You are able to articulate the value of new services to your existing client base and continue to expand the business with a set of nationwide accounts who currently partner with CareerBuilder. 

Job Requirements:

What do we need from you?

We need people who enjoy working in a fast paced, production driven environment! People who will work hard and have fun doing it! We need people who work well under pressure, like to be challenged and understand how critical it is to get the client experience right!  

Oh, and we need these things too...

  • 4+ Years’ experience with conceptual sales, solution selling and value-based selling
  • 4+ Years’ of documented quota & sales goal attainment
  • 2+ Years’ experience in Employment/Background Screening, B2B Software or Services Sales is preferred
  • Proven success selling to the executive level as well as multiple buyers at several levels within large, enterprise organizations
  • Experience selling to C-Suite and HR buyers is preferred
  • Able to self-motivate and work independently
  • High activity sales cycle for selling new solutions
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong sense of initiative, self-starting attitude, and desire to achieve
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with B2B sales
  • Experience selling software or services
  • Experience selling to C-Suite buyers
  • Experience selling to HR buyers
  • Experience selling into a named account set of 1.5M+ annual spend with an average annual deal size between 50k-150K
  • Proven success selling to the executive level as well as multiple buyers at several levels within large, enterprise organizations
  • Documented success selling into large complex accounts with multiple decision makers
