The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing the budget, forecast, and financial reporting for CareerBuilder corporate service; Marketing & IT departments and majority owned companies.  This position will also assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated CareerBuilder financial reporting.  This position will serve as a partner to various leaders, providing them with accurate, clear, and timely information to help them make well-informed business decisions.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts for CB corporate service departments
  • Assist in the preparation and review of annual budget and monthly forecasts for CB subsidiaries
  • Prepare and maintain consolidated reporting packages for Sr. Leadership and owners
  • Maintain, amend and advance the consolidated cost center hierarchy used for all financial reporting
  • Review monthly financial results, analyzing any material variances to forecast, budget and prior year
  • Identify areas of risk and opportunity within the forecast to assist business owners in decision making
  • Complete monthly reporting packages for business owners
  • Proactively engage leaders to understand business trends that are emerging while also developing sound relationships with your business partners
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis focusing on KPI’s and industry/competitor trends

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of five years’ experience working in a finance or accounting role
  • Experience in the areas of forecasting, financial reporting and financial modeling
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail, strong initiative, adherence to deadlines

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Experience with SAP BPC & Tableau software is a plus
  • Experience in the Internet/software industry is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Provide value to cross-functional teams by acting as a conduit between the Chicago corporate and international field offices
