CareerBuilder is seeking an enthusiastic communications professional with ninja-like PowerPoint skills to join our Communications team. As the Executive Communications Specialist, you will closely with the CareerBuilder CEO and other members of the Executive Leadership Team to oversee external and internal positioning of our senior leaders.  This includes message development, presentations and social media support. You will provide coordination, strategy and guidance in the development and coordination of all CEO presentations and messaging for key CareerBuilder events, specifically company-wide employee meetings and board of director meetings. For company-wide meetings, this includes organizing speakers by theme, advising them on direction and key points for their presentations, and working closely with events teams to make sure the content aligns with CareerBuilder’s key messages and brand voice.  

It’s critical that you be entirely comfortable working in PowerPoint and a be a strong visual story teller. Your success in this role will depend on you being highly self-motivated, proactive and a stickler for details. You’ll be working on multi-disciplinary teams and projects in this role. 

Job Requirements:

  • BA degree or (or equivalent experience) in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.  
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in writing and editing, with an emphasis on presentations/speechwriting 
  • Previous direct support of C-suite clients a plus 
  • Event content management experience highly desirable 
  • Some experience in social media content creation and management desired 

 Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Superior writing skills 
  • Ability to create content that is adapted for the speaking style and voice of the executive 
  • The ability to synthesize information quickly, adapting material from various sources into a seamless product within a very short time frame 
  • The ability to work independently and creatively with limited source material and minimal supervision.  
  • Excellent research skills.  
  • Flexibility, ingenuity, tact, attention to detail, a sense of humor, and ability to work well under pressure  
  • Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint required, experience with Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop beneficial
