The CareerBuilder Global Infrastructure Operations team has an immediate opening for a Network Engineer in our Atlanta, GA Office. This person will work on a team supporting the company’s LAN, WAN, Data center and Cloud networking infrastructure. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who is comfortable working in a team environment 

Job Description

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Deploys and supports company WAN, LANs, and Wireless Networks, including routers, switches, access points, firewalls, load balancers, VPN and other network related hardware 
  • Strong experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches
  • Strong experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Arista switches
  • Working knowledge of installing, configuring and troubleshooting Aerohive wireless network
  • Working knowledge of installing, configuring and troubleshooting firewall technologies using Fortinet and/or Palo Alto
  • Familiarity with load balancing concepts using A10 technologies
  • Familiarity with network access control (NAC) concepts using Bradford technologies
  • Working knowledge of building and troubleshooting VPN tunnels
  • Capable of configuring and implementing small to medium scale networks
  • Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN's (Layer 2, Layer 3, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot internet and MPLS circuits and work with carriers to resolve issues
  • Activate and test new circuits
  • Perform patching and software upgrades on network infrastructure

Job Requirements:

  • Strong experience in creating and maintain network documentation
  • Respond to tier 3 escalations from internal customers
  • Use various network monitoring systems to troubleshoot network/application performance, e.g. LogicMonitor, Solarwinds, Wireshark, Netflow, etc.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems is a plus
  • Scripting experience is a plus
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support network environment
  • Work cohesively with various teams
  • Travel between office locations as needed
  • Potential travel to remote offices and datacenter locations; up to 15%
  • Experience working in a regionally distributed team is a plus
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
