Position Overview

The Operations Analyst role is to recommend solutions to align business functions with organization goals to provide effective methods in its business operations. The scope of this position includes administering Change Management processes and procedures to include coordination of requests for change, aiding in controlling the lifecycle of those changes, and serving as the Subject Matter Expert for Change Management policies, processes, and procedures, evaluates, develops and implements efficient workflows, and strategies.

This position will act as the point person for delivering all key change requests, process documentation, process changes, and relevant reporting while focusing on identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities by measuring cross-departmental business metrics.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and recommend solutions to improve general business processes and planning.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board meetings for the IT and R&D organizations
  • Analyze and coordinate all changes in accordance with Change Management guidelines.
  • Identify and implement process improvement based on Change Management data.
  • Compile, analyze, interpret, and present data related to process efficiencies and Change Management.
  • Develops tools, reports, dashboards, techniques and/or assists in implementing reporting systems for operations, including but not limited to: ensuring reporting consistency, standardized formatting, and professional presentation
  • Develop project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs.
  • Execute projects in a timely manner with regular communication to stakeholders.
  • Create end-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials, but not limited to operational processes, internal knowledge documentation and client facing documentation) and deliver training.
  • Maintains documentation inventory.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience
  • 3-5 years’ analysis, software support, and information systems experience
  • 3-5 years' experience using MS Office
  • Strong analytical aptitude and organizational skills
  • Strong project management knowledge and skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL Foundations, Six Sigma
  • Strong oral/written communication skills, business acumen and partnering/influencing skills
  • Ability to work with extreme time sensitivity
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently while understanding when to seek advice
  • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and implement innovative approaches to organizational effectiveness, think strategically and systemically, and achieve results when working across organizational boundaries
  • Comfortable and effective in eliminating barriers and working across organizational, functional boundaries to achieve corporate objectives.

  • Ability to type on a computer
  • Ability to answer the phone requiring vocal stamina
  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time
