Position Overview:

The Support Technician role is part of the Corporate Operations/IT department and is responsible for aiding and contributing to the incident response team within the Call Center. This individual will be responsible for supporting Level 1 incidents for employees and ensuring escalations are handled in a timely manner. We are looking for an individual who loves technology and would like the opportunity to learn and grow with a cutting edge company.

The technician must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. of any and all equipment, boxes, or packages.  The candidate must have experience and an ongoing desire working in a fast paced, challenging and changing work environment and accepting accountability and ownership of anything and all needed for the organization.  This employee must be able to follow direction, adhere to policies and procedures in a challenging work environment along with having professional writing and documentation abilities.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • End Users support and maintenance of all CareerBuilder IT services, systems and software
  • Critical Thinking skills to evaluate and prioritize issues, tasks and projects within a collaborative team environment
  • Assist users over the phone with remote assistance technologies along with quick computer typing skills
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot printer issues, remotely troubleshoot and resolve printing issues
  • Must possess and often demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization at all times

Job Requirements:

Basic Requirements: 

  • Excellent customer service experience is vital
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and business skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies is a must
  • Coachable and willing to adapt to changes
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred

Technical Requirements:
• Effective IT Troubleshooting Skills
• Ability to Support a user group of 1000+
• Excellent communication and high emotional intelligence
• 2+ years experience with enterprise-level support
• CompTIA A+ Certification or comparable preferred
• Call Center experience preferred
• Excellent phone skills is a must

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Comprehensive knowledge of current PC operating systems, printing, networking, and application environments (mac and windows)
• Effective and efficient organization and time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills
• Good telephone skills and customer service orientation
• Flexibility in dealing with a combination of simultaneous projects and tasks
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet extremely tight deadlines
